These terms apply to your use of KIT Apps, a local-first Windows desktop app from Halison, and to this website. Halison is a product brand of Metanoia AS, org.nr. 928 285 898, Kvednanesvegen 49, 4120 Tau, Norway ("we", "us"). By installing or using KIT Apps you accept these terms.

1. What we offer

KIT Apps turns AI-generated code into runnable apps on your own computer. It has no account system and no backend, and your canvases stay on your device. Two plans exist: Personal is free and lets you render, save, organise and export canvases and build standalone installers (free output carries the "Made with KIT Apps by Halison.io" watermark and the "Built with KIT Apps" splash). Pro costs NOK 20 per week or NOK 728 per year (30 % less than 52 weeks at NOK 20, which is NOK 1 040) and adds clean output with no watermark on exports and shares, standalone apps that open without the splash, and the in-app switch to turn off anonymous usage analytics. 2. Licence

  • Personal: we grant you a free, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use KIT Apps.
  • Pro: we grant you the same licence plus the Pro features for as long as your subscription is active.
  • A Pro licence key activates on two machines.
  • We keep all rights in the software that are not expressly granted to you.

3. Subscription, billing and taxes

Pro starts with a 14-day free trial on both the weekly and the yearly plan. You give a payment method at checkout and nothing is charged during the trial. The first charge is made when the trial ends, unless you cancel before then, and cancelling during the trial costs nothing. After the trial, Pro is a recurring subscription, billed weekly at NOK 20 per week or yearly at NOK 728 per year. It renews each week or each year until you cancel, and you can cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period. Orders are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which is the merchant of record and reseller. It takes payment, charges and remits VAT or sales tax, and issues your receipt. Its terms apply to the purchase, and we never see your card details. Refunds are covered by our Refund policy: 14 days, no questions asked, for any charge, weekly or yearly.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use KIT Apps to break the law or the rights of others;
  • copy, resell, sublicense or share your licence key beyond the two machines it can be activated on;
  • reverse engineer or tamper with the software or its licence checks, except where the law allows it;
  • use KIT Apps to build or distribute malware or other harmful software.

5. Your content and the apps you build

You own your content, your canvases and the apps you build with KIT Apps. We claim no rights in them. You are responsible for the code you run and for having the right to use it. On Personal, exports and shares carry the "Made with KIT Apps by Halison.io" watermark and standalone apps show the "Built with KIT Apps" splash. Pro removes both.

6. Privacy

How we handle data is described in our Privacy policy.

7. Software provided as is

KIT Apps is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the extent the law allows. We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or error free, or that code generated by AI and run in KIT Apps will be correct or safe. Keep your own backups.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you arising from the use of KIT Apps is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the event that gave rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as lost profit or lost data. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for intent or gross negligence.

9. Your consumer rights

If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights under Norwegian or EU law.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If a change is material, we will give notice on this website or in the app before it takes effect. Continued use after that means you accept the updated terms. You can cancel Pro at any time if you do not.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by Norwegian law. This does not limit any mandatory consumer rights you have under the law of your country of residence.
